FRIENDS of a teenager who died after being shot in the head in Penge will remember him as a ‘bubbly person’ who was ‘always laughing’ and ‘always smiling’.

Kadar Hussein died in hospital 12 hours after being shot in Kenilworth Road on Wednesday night.

The 19-year-old, of Upper Elmers End Road, Beckenham, has left behind a lot of friends who will be gathering in Anerley to pay their respects this afternoon.

His friend Casey Benjamin says he has known him since he was little.

The 25-year-old said: “He was a good kind hearted person, he was just a good guy.

“He was a bubbly person, he got on with everyone.

“He didn’t have a problem with anyone and he was always smiling and always laughing.

“He was still young and had a lot going for him.

“He could have done anything.”

And another friend, who did not want to be named, said: “He was a nice smiley kid, if you were in a bad mood, he’d put a smile on your face.”

Several tributes have been left online for the victim by his friends.

One message posted on Twitter read: "On a day like today all you can do is reminisce on the good times & hold onto the memories. Rip Kadar."

Another read: "Life's too short! Never know what's round the corner. RIP Kadar."

Mr Hussein’s next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

No arrests have been made by police at this stage.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the police on 020 8721 4868, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
