Staff and residents of local care home Queen Elizabeth House in Bickley are preparing themselves for this year's sponsored walk.
Organised to raise money for the residents' amenity funds, all 17 homes in the Greensleeves Homes Trust will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities on May 18.
The funds generated will be used by the residents to fund outings and events throughout the year, each chosen by the residents themselves.
Stuart Cross, deputy chief executive, Greensleeves Homes Trust, commented: "As a charitable organisation these events form an important part of our fundraising activities.
"All our residents thoroughly enjoy the day and the money generated is then allocated according to the residents' wishes. I wish all the participants the best of luck and hope everyone has a fantastic day."
Anyone wishing to donate or participate in the sponsored walk should visit www.charitychoice.co.uk or contact Karen at Queen Elizabeth House on 020 8467 3994.
