FROM Stormtroopers to Superman, the superheroes have been out in force to celebrate Children’s Hospice Week in Northfleet.

The EllenorLions Hospice spring fete saw dozens of adults and children donned in their favourite superhero outfits as they enjoyed a day of fun at the hospice, in Coldharbour Road.

Raising at least £1,500 for chYps and EllenorLions, children tried their luck with games including a human fruit machine and hook-a-duck whilst adults splashed their cash on stalls selling everything from jewellery to crafts and cakes.

Event organiser Emma Middleton said: “Everyone had a fantastic time at the fete, despite the weather being a bit grim.

“We always love to see the local community coming along to support the charity.

“Without their help we could not provide vital hospice care to seriously ill adults and children in the local area.”

EllenorLions and chYps provide care across Dartford, Gravesend and Bexley.
