WOULD-be foster carers in Bexley are being encouraged to take the plunge over the next fortnight.
Bexley Council is backing the National Fostering Network’s ‘get in the frame’ campaign during National Fostering Fortnight from May 13 to 26.
Bexley’s fostering team will be out and about across the borough encouraging as many people as possible to find out more about fostering.
Cabinet member for children’s services and community safety Councillor Katie Perrior said: "We are looking for local people to put themselves in the frame, do something amazing and take up fostering for Bexley.
"There really is no set template for a foster carer: they can be single, married, gay or lesbian, live in a house or a flat, have their own children or not.
"The thing they need to be able to offer is a loving and supportive home."
