MOTTINGHAM rail passengers are in a flap after pigeon poo has been "bombed" on them during their morning commute.
Pigeons roosting above the London-bound platform of Mottingham Rail Station have left workers "dodging" the mess and running to the toilets to wash their hair and expensive suits, say rail users.
Lee Collins says his fiancé Nicola Mitchell has had to have her suit dry-cleaned three times in three months because of the "disgusting" problem.
The 44-year-old electronics engineer said: "They are doing their business on your head.
"People are dodging these things.
"They have been defecating on people including people standing in smart clothes, holding cups of coffee.
"I have had it on my shoes. My fiancé has had it on her clothing. It’s lucky there is a Ladies and Gents toilet facilities so they can wash it off their hair before going into work.
"It is just disgusting."
He also worries about the health issues from the brazen birds - who have chosen to nest above the ticket office - with a food vendor nearby and commuters holding cups of coffee.
Mr Collins, who lives in Chapel Farm Road and has logged complaints about the pigeon pest, added: "They have chosen to roost above the entrance where the ticket office is.
"It is like bombing the country.
"I’m not being rude but it’s a sh***y issue."
A spokesman for Southeastern - who are responsible for cleaning the platforms - says the company is aware of the problem and are looking into solutions which could include a controversial cull.
A Southeastern spokesman said: "We apologise for any pigeon nuisance and are looking to implement preventative measures including anti-pigeon netting, or a possible cull.
"We have asked the station manager to ensure it is cleaned up."
He added the problem might have been made worse by a member of the public feeding the birds.
