A MURDER investigation has been launched after a 48-year-old man was stabbed to death in Eltham this morning.
Detectives were called to Eltham Green Road at 1.40am where they found Shaun Hayes suffering from stab wounds.
Paramedics also attended but Mr Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 52-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of murder whilst a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault following a separate incident at the same location.
Both remain in custody this evening at a south London police station.
A post-mortem examination into Mr Hayes’ death will take place tomorrow at Greenwich Mortuary.
