FOUR youths have been charged with causing more than £10,000 of damage to Biggin Hill Memorial Library.

Three 16-year-old males from Westerham and one 15-year-old from New Addington will appear at Bromley Youth Court on April 30.

All are charged with criminal damage to the library and the Spitfire Youth Club while the three 16-year-olds are charged with arson.

One of the 16-year-olds faces an additional charge of theft.

At around 2am on December 3 last year damage was caused to the windows of the Spitfire Youth Club, Biggin Hill, before, at around 3am, more than £10,000 of damage was caused to the windows of Biggin Hill Memorial Library and Pool.

The previous night a number of vans belonging to Waitrose in Main Road were damaged whilst parked in their yard, with windscreens cracked and bodywork dented.

One of the vehicles had its front grill damaged and Mercedes badge stolen.

At around 1.50am on November 12 a number of recycling boxes and bins, traffic cones and household rubbish was set on fire in the concrete skate bowl in Biggin Hill Recreation Ground.
