FILM fans of Shopperland rejoice, the Sundance London Film and Music Festival returns to the O2 tomorrow (Thursday, April 25).

Kicking off tomorrow and running through to Sunday (April 28), the festival in Greenwich features 18 feature films and 9 shorts, as well as music and discussion.

Sundance London is the sister to the American Sundance Film Festival in Utah and is run by the

Sundance Institute which aims to support independent cinema and theatre and discover new voices.

Twenty-three of the films are making their international, European or UK premieres with 10 of the independent movies being made by women and six by first timers.

President and founder of the Sundance Institute and Oscar winning actor and director Robert Redford said: “We would hope for Sundance London to be another ‘Sundance’ experience – lively, culturally relevant and fun.”

Among the films on show the UK premiere of Michael Winterbottom’s biopic of porn supremo Paul Raymond, The Look of Love, which stars Steve Coogan and Anna Friel.

Documentary The History of the Eagles will be followed with an extended Q&A session with the band themselves.
