DISABLED passengers will face difficulties when using Dartford railway station from Monday.
Work will begin by Network Rail to replace the station’s main lift, in a move lasting nearly two months.
The new lift, which Network Rail say will provide an “improved step free link” between the main concourse and the platforms, will not be in operation until June 10.
During the period of the lift closure, step free access will continue to be available between the platforms and staff will be on hand to assist passengers.
The new lift is being installed thanks to funding from the national station improvement programme and the homes and communities agency.
Passengers who require additional help at the station should use Southeastern’s assisted travel service which can be reached on 0800 783 4524.
