DONATIONS have soared on a webpage set up by tragic Forest Hill runner Sam Harper Brighouse.
The 23-year-old died after running the Brighton Marathon last week but since his death, the amount pledged to charity Arms Around the Child on his JustGiving webpage has rocketed to £23,202.60.
In a statement on the site his family wrote: "Training for this marathon, and the knowledge that Sam had raised so much money even before the run gave him a real sense of achievement that was wonderful for us to see.
"It is a comfort for us now to know that so many people cared about him, and that he has touched so many lives."
