LEWISHAM College has been renamed LeSoCo following last year's merger with its Southwark counterpart.
The two educational institutions joined forces last August and the new name has been put together by design agency Elmwood whose other clients include everyone from the BBC to Durex condoms.
Elmwood says it took inspiration from other merged location names like New York's SoHo - South of Houston Street.
LeSoCo director of marketing and communications said: "The new branding reflects our aspirations for the future, it has signalled the beginning of the new: joining two organisations, post merger, in to one to create something new and exciting."
Deputy managing director of Elmwood Andy Paul said: ""Our new identity stands out from the crowd in an increasingly competitive environment and delivers against LeSoCo’s mission of creating successful futures."
