A ROMANIAN man has been sentenced to six months in prison for a Bexley burglary.

Claudiu Adoamnei was caught in Arbuthnot Lane walking away from an address on April 10 after officers were called to reports of a man acting suspiciously in the area.

He was arrested on suspicion of going equipped for burglary after two members of the Bexley Safer Transport Team waited for him in the alley.

The 38-year-old  was caught with stolen items and burglary equipment in his bag.

Adoamnei, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to burglary and theft when appearing at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on April 12.
