Back in september 2012 an article was in the News Shopper about a mother who was trying to raise £580,000 for a clinical trial to halt the disease her son has which is Sanfilippo - also known as MPSIII Mucopolysaccharidosis.
I secured a place in the 2013 marathon and decided to raise the money for Bobby and his family and for the other 130 families across the UK who have experienced the same thing.
The training has been hard especially in the awful weather we have had but doesn't seem nothing compared to what these families have had to go through.
That has given me the motivation and look forward to being able to give something to such a worthwhile cause.
