DUCKS have a new place to swim after an overflowing bore hole flooded a path in St Mary Cray.
Environment Agency has put in a bore hole in Riverside Gardens and is doing work to assess the water table levels in the area.
But John Littler, who lives in nearby Kent Road, says the pathway is now impassable and he has spotted ducks swimming on the water.
The 74-year-old said: “I’m not a trouble maker but we are peed off with it.
“It has been going on for a month.
“The notice on the water table monitoring equipment says high levels of ground water but it is not the first time it has happened and it is almost a lake.”
An Environment Agency spokeswoman said: “We do have a bore hole in that area that has been overflowing owing to very high ground water levels.”
It is believed the ground water levels will die down when the weather gets warmer.
