FROG life in Bromley has been given a jump start thanks to a two-year project.

The amphibians in Kingswood Glen, South Hill Road, have been boosted by a £5,000 grant from the Veolia Environmental Trust, an organisation which funds community projects.

Bromley Council, The Froglife Trust and Friends of South Hill Wood and Kingswood Glen have been working hard to remove sediment from the ponds to prevent flooding.

Work on nearby trees has also taken place to reduce shading and leaf fall.

Executive Councillor for the Environment Councillor Colin Smith said:  "I hope that the valuable work done in Kingswood Glen will encourage people to join our efforts and become actively involved in the protection and development of our local woodlands and parks."
