TWO teenage boys were stabbed near Bellingham station yesterday (April 15).

Police, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to Randlesdown Road around 4.30pm where they found a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old boy suffering from stab wounds.

Both were treated at the scene before one was taken as a priority to hospital while the other was taken with an air ambulance doctor on board.

The 17-year-old has since been discharged while the 15-year-old remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Shopkeepers on the road today said the stabbing appeared to have happened following a fight between a group of youths in the street near the post office.

As they dispersed, the stab victims were left lying on the pavement.

No arrests have yet been made and officers from Lewisham CID are investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lewisham CID on 020 8284 8339 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
