A 29-YEAR-OLD man from Gravesend has been charged with the murder of Ben Mahoney at a pizza takeaway in Dartford on Friday night.
Eddie Ives, of St Gregory’s Crescent, was charged with the murder of 30-year-old Mr Mahoney this afternoon and is due to appear before Medway Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
A post mortem examination following Mr Mahoney’s death showed he died of head injuries suffered during an incident at House on the Hill pizza restaurant, in East Hill.
Police arrested Ives alongside another man from Gravesend shortly after the incident, at 11.30pm.
The second 36-year-old who was also detained was released by police without charge today.
