A SWANLEY man has appeared in court accused of stealing fuel from the same petrol station on five different occasions.
Stephen Barnes, of Cranleigh Drive, is alleged to have each time given false information on a ‘no means to pay’ form at the garage in Swanley High Street.
In total, police say £80.11 worth of fuel was taken with the amounts varying between £10 and £25.
The 31-year-old is alleged to have given different contact details on each of the five visits, which occurred between August last year and March 5 this year.
Barnes was arrested on April 3 and appeared before Mid Kent Magistrates Court in Maidstone the following day.
He will appear at the same court on April 19, when he is expected to enter a plea.
