A 70-YEAR-OLD man has been attacked in Woolwich with a baseball bat, sparking a police appeal.
The attack happened just after midnight on March 18 as the pensioner was walking along Brookhill Road heading towards Nightingale Place.
Two men attacked him from behind with the weapon, causing head and facial injuries along with a broken arm.
They are described as white and in their 20s with a London accent.
Officer in the case Detective Constable Darren Bowden from Greenwich police said: "I am keen to speak to the person in the CCTV image as he may have vital information about this incident.
"Do you recognise him? We will treat all information in the strictest confidence."
