A DARTFORD man appeared in court today charged with stealing a white van while drunk.
Lee Sales, 28, of Tennyson Road, was one of two men arrested in Bexley in the early hours of Sunday morning following the theft of the Citroen Berlingo van from Minster.
Sales was charged with aggravated vehicle taking, drink driving and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.
Following his arrest he was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates Court today.
A 24-year-old man from Dartford, who was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, was issued with a caution.
