MOTORISTS are being warned about new parking restrictions in Bexleyheath Broadway.

Instead of parking, loading and disabled zones being shown through road markings, the different areas will be marked out with boundary signs and specific parking bays from Monday (November 12).

There will be no yellow line waiting or loading restriction road markings within the restricted parking zone, which runs between Albion Road and the pedestrianised area.

Outside of the hours of operation stated on the signs, the bays can be used by anyone for parking and loading.

Drivers not parking in a suitable bay will be liable to receive a penalty charge notice.

The changes are part of the Bexleyheath Town Centre Revitalisation Scheme, which is funded by the Mayor of London.

It focuses on transport and public space improvements in the Broadway between Church Road and Gravel Hill.
