AN INVESTIGATION is underway after a Bromley rubbish truck hit a set of garages.
No-one was hurt in the crash in Kingsleigh Walk, which happened at around 7.45am on Friday (November 2).
But there has been considerable damage to the garage and a neighbouring garden wall.
The truck was being driven by a binman from Veolia Environmental Services, which collects household waste on behalf of Bromley Council.
A woman who lives nearby went out to see what happened and says a binman told her the brake on the truck had failed.
A Veolia Environmental Services spokesman said: “On Friday morning a refuse collection vehicle collided with a set of garages on Kingsleigh Walk in Bromley.
“No one was injured.
“We are currently assisting the police and the fire brigade with their investigations and are carrying out a full internal investigation into the causes of this incident.”
