Swashbuckling golfers putted their way to victory in a brand new tournament any buccaneer would be proud of.
Pirate Cove Adventure Golf in Bluewater hosted the premier Pirate Cove Smugglers Cup on Saturday and the Pirate Cove Open 2012 on Sunday.
The intensely competitive weekend was organised in association with the British Mini Golf Association as part of the national Join in Local Sport campaign.
Joint winners Lee Edwards and Philip Exall took home £125 each on Saturday and, along with Sam Conroy and Richard Payne who tied in third place, were automatically entered into Sunday’s pro contest.
Sporty youngsters Alex Exall, Connor Gill and George Edwards came top in the under 16s category and bagged a one-month pass to the cove for their families.
On Sunday, Michael Smith and Sean Homer of the Kent Minigolf Club tied on 97 strokes after three rounds and split the first prize, receiving £75 each.
There was also a novice category with Harley Edwards winning the top prize of £20, and after his Saturday triumph Lee Edwards won second place and received £15, leaving Bulent Hossein in third place and receiving £10.
