DIRECT from New York and featuring life-size puppets, Elephant will open at Greenwich Theatre on Thursday.
With a cast of multi-talented actors, puppeteers and musicians, the play tells the story of Chief Zanenvula, a good man and respected chief of his tribe, who has been refused entry into heaven.
Distraught, he calls on his ancestors to find the answer. Told to look back at his past, the chief reviews his life and actions and slowly understands how he has offended the spirit of Africa.
Elephant promises to be a visual feast, touching on themes of humanity and forgiveness which everyone can relate to.
Elephant. Greenwich Theatre, Crooms Hill, Greenwich. May 20 to May 23. 020 8858 7755 or visit greenwichtheatre.org.uk
