YOUNG people aged nine to 19 are being offered the chance to take part in a full scale production of Fame at The Orchard in Dartford this summer.

The musical will be the end result of the theatre's two week Summer Youth Project, which offers budding young actors, singers and dancers the chance to work with a professional director and choreographer.

Auditions will take place on March 28 from 9am and applications are now being accepted.

Held in a fun workshop style, auditions will give everyone the chance to show off their talents and, with around 250 parts up for grabs, why not give it a go?

Youth project production director Rodney Howard said: "We want to give young people the opportunity to do a full scale show in a short amount of time.

"The production team are all professionals and we put it together in the same way a professional show would be put together. We will do it in two weeks.

"It will be a very different way of working for the young cast but it’s about giving them the opportunity to explore their talents.

"We’re not looking for the next Wayne Sleep, we want people of every ability and we want people that want to have a go and be there."
