BLOW those winter blues away next week and jump into spring with the world premier of Neil Sedaka musical Laughter In The Rain at The Churchill theatre, Bromley.
The show is based on the rise, fall and rise again of pop music’s ultimate survivor and features many of his memorable hits, including Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen, Solitaire, Calendar Girl, Amarillo and, of course, Laughter In The Rain.
From the innocent 50s to the cynical 70s and beyond, Sedaka has become one of the 20th century’s greatest pop icons, having been inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame, had a street named after him in his hometown of Brooklyn and being given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The coveted lead role will be played by Wayne Smith, one of the eight Danny finalists in the ITV hit series Grease Is The Word. Wayne has previously appeared at the Churchill Theatre as Ray in Dreamboats and Petticoats.
Laughter In The Rain is a story of triumph against the odds and a classic showbiz tale for the whole family to enjoy.
Laughter In The Rain. The Churchill, High Street, Bromley. March 4 to March 13. 0844 8717620.
