A NEW play based on older people’s experience in care is opening later this month.
Age Exchange Theatre presents To Care For which has been put together from 42 interviews with people in care and community settings.
It features a cast of 21, aged from seven to 86, at the Greenwich Theatre.
Written and directed by David Savill and Malcolm Jones is based entirely on first hand reminiscence about how older people were cared for in later life within the family, the community, or institutionalised geriatric care, how they provided care themselves, and how they worked as professional carers from 1930 to the present day.
To Care For, Greenwich Theatre, July 31 to Aug 1
