YOUNG people are being given the chance to perform on a West End stage as part of a theatre’s summer school.
The Churchill Theatre in Bromley is holding a West End Summer School, inspired by stories from Arabian Nights.
In one week youngsters, aged eight to 16, will create a performance, using drama, music and dance and present it on stage in the West End.
Young people aged 12 to 16 are also invited to take part in Just Dance where they will work on different dance styles with a professional choreographer, performing to family and friends at the end of the week.
Three to five year olds and five to seven year olds are encouraged to pack their suitcases and join an excursion to a different country each day in drama and making workshops, culminating in a small performance at the end of the week.
The Churchill has been running summer schools for nine years.
Its creative development manager, Liam Shea said: “As well as being great fun, our summer schools are an accessible way for local youngsters to develop and improve their dance and drama skills and then perform in front of an audience.
“The fact that this year some kids will present their work on a West End stage is an amazing opportunity and one that’s not to be missed.”
