How has the tour been going?
The tour has been a huge success so far and I have been playing Joseph for 14 months now. Time flies! I do get tired sometimes but it’s worth it.
How do you feel you’ve grown and evolved as a performer through the show?
My voice has got stronger and more consistent and I don't get nervous really anymore. I’ve lost a bit of weight and toned up a little more too. I am also more confident acting.
Tell us about your new single, I’m Into Something Good with Antony Hansen (who plays Pharaoh). Who chose this Herman's Hermits cover and why?
The art department at Bill Kenwright I think. It’s not been finalised yet so I’m sure Bill will sit us down and we will all decide together.
What’s your favourite Joseph number?
Close Every Door to Me. I’ve enjoyed working on it vocally and feel very comfortable with it.
Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat, The Orchard, Dartford, Oct 27 to Nov 1.
