THE forthcoming production from The Alexandra Players presents a double dose of local talent. The amateur dramatists will perform material from the Charlton-hailing playwright, Peter Quilter. The piece, Respecting Your Piers, is about five women (all enemies) who inherit equal shares in a dilapidated pier and must work together to get it operational again and settle their differences to produce an end-of-the-pier show.
Quilter, who now lives in Spain, also wrote the Greenwich Community play It’ll All Come Out In The Wash, which premiered at Greenwich Theatre in 2000.
Respecting Your Piers, Oct 30 to Nov 1. Alexandra Hall, Bramshot Avenue, Charlton. 8pm. 020 8858 2769.
