NEW Cross band Loft Daddy are set to raise the roof of Old Street's newest club night Quid Nova, at The Workshop, with a live performance of tracks from their debut EP Words.
The four-piece formed when guitarist Robert Logan, who in a previous life had toured the world as a concert cellist, bumped into DJ, vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Niroshan Sirisena and bass player Matt Saunders while on the Goldsmith University party circuit.
Listing bands such as The Clash and James Brown as inspiration for the spirit of their music, they say their sound is influenced by everyone from The Beatles to Neil Yound and John Bonham.
