THE O2 has been named International Arena of the Year at last Wednesday's Pollstar Awards in LA.
The Greenwich landmark is the only music venue to have achieved this hat trick, winning the coveted award every year since it opened in June 2007.
It comes after The O2 finished the decade as the world’s busiest music venue for the third consecutive year, selling more than 2 million tickets.
Since opening, The O2 has been seen as a benchmark for music venues around the world and has won multiple awards including, most recently, Favourite Venue of the Year at the TPI Awards, Top Arena in the World at the Billboard Awards and Venue of the Year at the TESA Awards.
David Campbell, President and CEO of AEG Europe, owners and operators of The O2, said: “I couldn't be more delighted. Last year was an exceptional year for The O2 but to win this award yet again is awesome.
Our team here always goes the extra mile to make sure that all our visitors - the public, artists, managers, promoters, agents - have an outstanding experience.
I'm thrilled that this has been recognised by the industry and we promise to deliver more of the same this year.”
The O2 has another bumper year ahead with more world class music, sport and entertainment. For full details please visit www.theO2.co.uk
