A FESTIVAL which started in a back garden in Beckenham takes place next month with an expected crowd of 1,500.
Lee Denny staged a music festival in his parent's garden in 2006 when they were on holiday.
Now LeeFest, which is in aid of charity, takes in three stages with more than 30 acts playing.
Indie rockers The Holloways headline the event on Saturday, August 15 which takes place in a field opposite Langley Park Boys School Other acts include singer songwriter Sam Isaac and Bromley-based Charles Anonymous.
Mr Denny, 21, said: “LeeFest is about bringing a community together. That community started as 150 friends in my back garden.
"This year we hope it can be 1,500 people from all over London.
“We’re really keen to make sure that this festival can be for everyone.
"We want parents to bring their children and their grandparents.
“If you’ve ever fancied Glastonbury without the mud, come to LeeFest.”
This year’s charity is Kids Company, a scheme which provides support to vulnerable inner-city young people.
Tickets, costing £20, are available from gigantic.com.
