You can visit the UK’s “largest” lavender field and it’s just 50 minutes from south east London.

Just 20 miles from London, in the Kent Downs in Sevenoaks, you’ll find Castle Farm Lavender Fields.

Believed to be the “largest” lavender field in the UK, this lavender field is abundant with the vibrant purple blooms up until late July.

The field features over 60,000 plants across 10 acres of land and has become a popular Instagram and photography spot.

The farm also offers a range of lavender-themed events, from lavender walks and guided tours to wreath making and picnics.

The farm's popular Lavender Picnic events run at the Picnic Field in Shoreham Road, where visitors will have the chance to enjoy a sunset picnic lasting over two hours in amongst the fragrant blooms.

Tickets for these popular picnics are priced at £6.50 for children and £13 for adults.

The farm distils over 100 acres of lavender into a range of fragrant products, all of which can be purchased at the on-site shop.

The farm's lavender events and guided tours are ticketed, however visitors looking to see the fields and buy a selection of lavender foods, plants and gifts from the shop are able to visit without a timeslot.

The Castle Farm Lavender Fields are open up until late July and can be reached off the A225 between Shoreham and Eynsford or by train via Eynsford station.
