Residents of south east London and north Kent have been left baffled by a "strange" object spotted in the night sky.
The video shows the fire-ball like object flying towards the Thames Estuary area - looking from Orpington.
Resident Stephen Sangster filmed the mysterious sky-occupier and told the News Shopper that he thinks it might be an aerobatic plane that does pyrotechnics.
However, he added that no-one had come forward to confirm his thoughts.
He said other ideas have ranged from aliens and a plane on fire to a sophisticated firework.
One Twitter user told Stephen they had also seen something similar, while others debated over whether it could be a firework.
