BEFORE you deck your halls with boughs of holly and buy a Christmas tree you might want to take advantage of some free advice.

Next weekend (December 10 and 11) Keston Garden Centre, Oakley Road, Keston, is offering customers help with how to select and care for their real trees.

Advice will include how to improve air circulation, how to prevent the tree from overheating in the middle and how to avoid needle loss.

And during the weekend gardening club members, and anyone who signs up to the free club, will be offered a free glass of non-alcoholic, spiced berry punch and roasted chestnuts while stocks last.
