Cray paid for a sloppy opening ten minutes as Wroxham took the three points at Hayes Lane.
Wroxham got off to a flying start with two goals in the opening eight minutes.
The first came in the fifth minute when after a swift break James Forshaw scored with a tap in.
Three minutes later Wroxham increased their lead when Jack Garrod's cross was turned in again by Forshaw.
Cray came close twice to getting back into the game but for two great saves by Wroxham keeper Elliott Pride.
However, from a Cray corner Wroxham broke away through the very quick Remy Gordon and his cross across goal fell to Forshaw to complete his hat trick after 28 minutes.
Cray pulled a goal back before half time with a great strike from Ian Daly who let fly from 20 yards.
In the second half Wroxham came close to scoring again when Gordon's cross fell to Garrod whose effort was saved spectacularly by Nick Taylor.
For Cray, Dan Stubbs hit a long range effort which shaved the left post and went wide.
With ten minutes to go Cray pulled another goal back when Jordan Bird's free kick led to indecision at the back and the ball fell to Pat O'Connor who hit a fine shot into the roof of the net.
