Charlton are rivalling Blackburn and QPR for Stevenage striker Danny Newton, reports claim.
The Addicks’ League One rivals Burton, Bradford and Fleetwood are also interested in signing the former non-league player, who netted 16 goals last term.
Newton, 27, only joined Stevenage a year ago after impressing in Leicester and England star Jamie Vardy’s V9 Academy.

Charlton lacked a consistent goalscorer last season despite Josh Magennis’ best efforts with 10 strikes.
And Newton, who has just one year left on his contract, could provide a killer instinct in front of goal that the Addicks desperately need to win promotion to the Championship.
HITC says Stevenage are bracing themselves for offers for their star man.
