Charlton suffered a miserable start to 2018 after losing 2-1 to Gillingham.
Goals from Josh Parker and Tom Eaves put the Gills into a commanding lead before Joe Aribo’s header made for a nervy ending.
Here is how News Shopper rated Charlton’s players…
Ben Amos - 6 - Couldn't do anything about the goals.
Ezri Konsa - 6 - Did not attack as much as he did against Wigan. Even though he was playing right-back, he was too far apart from Sarr at times.
Naby Sarr - 4 - Arguably his worst performance in a Charlton shirt. He was at fault for Gillingham’s goals and was booed by home fans.
Harry Lennon - 5 - Struggled with Tom Eaves’ physicality. Starting two games in four days was always going to be hard for him following his long-term injury.
Jay Dasilva - 7 - He was Charlton’s best attacking threat in the first-half and never stopped getting forward.
Ahmed Kashi - 6 - Won his tackles in midfield and broke up the play.
Jake Forster-Caskey - 5 - Subbed off at half-time. He clearly isn't match fit.
Mark Marshall - 6 - Got more involved in the second-half but is still finding it hard to affect games.
Ben Reeves - 4 - He was taken off at the break after his below-par display.
Ricky Holmes - 8 - He tried everything. Crossing, shooting, tackling… everything. Never gave up.
Josh Magennis - 5 - His goal drought continues. The striker didn’t have too much to feed off, though.
Subs:
Leon Best - 6
Joe Aribo - 7
Karlan Ahearne-Grant - 5
