SKIPPER Johnnie Jackson is still waiting to discover if he will be fit enough to face Tranmere on Saturday.
Jackson scored both of Charlton’s penalties in Tuesday’s 2-1 win over MK Dons but was replaced in the second half after suffering a calf/Achilles injury.
Charlton’s physios have been pulling out all the stops to get Jackson back for the trip to Prenton Park but manager Chris Powell confirmed no final decision has been made yet.
The Valley chief explained: “Johnnie Jackson has had treatment on Wednesday and today, so we will find out tomorrow if he is OK and ready to travel.
“We’ve kept him off his feet for 48 hours.
“Hopefully it will settle down and he will be alright and available for selection on Saturday.
“He is a class act for us and any team would miss a player of his quality.
“I’m hopeful he will be available but if not that is why we have the squad we have and it gives an opportunity for someone to have a game, come into the team and keep us in winning ways.”
