Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has confirmed he wants to make Shane Lowry’s loan move from Aston Villa permanent.
Lowry’s deal at Villa Park expires in the summer and the man who has previously had loan spells at Sheffield United and Leeds is expected to leave the Premier League side.
The defender extended his stay with the Lions on Tuesday and is eligible for Millwall’s FA cup-tie at Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.
Jackett said: “He’s someone that we’ve been looking to try and take permanently.
“We have made both him and Aston Villa an offer and we will try to make that one a permanent transfer.”
