GOALKEEPING coach Andy Woodman left Charlton to join Newcastle United on Monday following the recent appointment of former Addicks boss Alan Pardew as manager of the Magpies.
Woodman worked under Pardew at West Ham United and Charlton, joining the Addicks in summer 2007.
PHIL Parkinson and Johnnie Jackson had plenty to celebrate last Thursday when the duo landed the npower League One manager of the month and player of the month awards respectively.
AKPO Sodje was due to have a scan today after suffering a possible shoulder dislocation a day earlier in the match against Walsall.

SKIPPER Christian Dailly served the final match of his four-game ban against Walsall last Sunday and is available to play against Brentford in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tomorrow night.
The draw for the area finals of the competition was due to take place on Wednesday.

LENNIE Lawrence, Steve Gritt, Bob Bolder, John Humphrey and Colin Walsh will come out of retirement to represent Charlton next month – but they won’t be requiring their boots.
Instead, they will be taking on a team of Addicks Anoraks, including historian Colin Cameron, in a special 1980s quiz at The Valley on Thursday, January 27 to raise fund for a new academy minibus.

CARL Jenkinson was recalled from a loan spell at Eastbourne Borough today.
The defender, who was named man of the match as Eastbourne defeated Boreham Wood 3-1 in the first round of the FA Trophy on Saturday, joined the non-league Sports in November, with the deal set to last until early February.
