THREE SIGN: Three of Charlton's most promising youngsters have committed themselves to the Addicks. England youth internationals Osei Sankofa, Lloyd Sam and James Walker all put pen-to-paper on new contracts. Alan Curbishley said: "We're delighted because we believe they are definitely part of the club's future. They've all been part of the first-team squad this season and we hope that is just the start of things to come."
BIG PLANS: There is still time for local residents and fans to see plans to expand its stadium at an exhibition at the ground this week. The Addicks intend to submit detailed proposals which will see The Valley increased to a 30,900 capacity all-seater in the first phase of the development. The exhibition will be open from 12-5pm tomorrow and 10am-4pm on Friday.
FIT AND READY: Charlton could have an empty treatment room over the festive season. Defender Mark Fish (seen above) travelled with the first-team squad at The Hawthorns for the first time since a knee problem in late August, while Chris Perry (groin), Jonatan Johansson and Kevin Lisbie (both hamstring) are expected to test out their rehabilitation progress in light training this week.
POWELL BACK: The three-month loan of Addicks left-back Chris Powell at West Ham United ended after the Hammers' 1-1 draw with Leeds United on Friday night. Although the Championship club is reportedly looking to make the move permanent, nothing had been finalised as we went to press.
STUART PROMPT: Graham Stuart issued a reminder of his presence to manager Alan Curbishley last week when his third goal in four reserve matches helped the Addicks to a 1-0 victory against Fulham at The Valley. The win took the Addicks three points clear at the top of the table with an away match against Arsenal on December 21 the only fixture before the new year.
CUP FINALISTS: The first cup final of the women's season will be a repeat of May's FA Cup final after Charlton beat Liverpool 3-0 in the Premier League Cup on Sunday to set a March 27 date with Arsenal. The match will see the defending cup holders take on the Gunners, who beat Charlton 3-0 in the FA Cup last May. Jodian Clarke, Ann-Marie Heatherson and Casey Stoney grabbed the goals on Sunday.
