A FOOTBALL club are celebrating after being awarded the FA’s charter standard community club status.
Glebe FC, who play at Coney Hall and train at Old Dunstonians, received the highest honour the FA can give a junior club after meeting all of the criteria required to obtain the award, which recognises clubs according to quality.
These included the training and playing facilities, child welfare, coaching standards, administration standards, the number of sides and age groups catered for and having a five-year plan.
Glebe’s chairman Rocky McMillan said: “I would like to thank everybody on the committee for all their hard work.
“This is a most prestigious award and a wonderful way to end the year.”
