Lee Bowyer says he is happy with Nicky Ajose’s form.
The Charlton striker has started Bowyer’s first four games in temporary charge after being frozen out by Karl Robinson.
But Ajose, who is searching for his first Addicks goal of the season, has been substituted against Northampton, Rotherham and Bristol Rovers before the 70th minute.
Bowyer told News Shopper: “Every time he plays an hour he’s getting more minutes and he’s getting fitter.

“It was tough for him against Bristol Rovers’ big centre-halves, they were very physical.
“This wasn't really a pitch to pass on. He was making good runs but it was difficult.
“Sometimes instead of playing one or two-touch football, the players always had to take an extra touch because of how bobbly the pitch was.
“Nicky is doing well and I’m happy with what he’s bringing to the team.”
