Charlton boss Karl Robinson has told his players: If you don't think we can achieve promotion… leave now.
The Addicks suffered their second successive league defeat to promotion rivals after losing 4-1 at Peterborough today. It has left them three points off sixth-placed Plymouth.
Robinson said: “If you don't think you can achieve it [promotion] then leave now. If you don't believe then don't bother and go home.
“You can have the next six weeks off and we’ll pay you if you don't think you can achieve it. Go and sit at home and I’ll see you in pre-season. It’s as simple as that.
“If you don't think you can achieve something don't bother being around me and the other players and being negative. That’s as cold as you've got to be at this time of the year.”
A Jack Marriott brace and goals from Andrew Hughes and Marcus Maddison ensured Michal Zyro’s first goal for the club counted for nothing.
The game turned when Josh Magennis missed a penalty early on in the second-half.

Robinson added: “I don’t know how it was 4-1, well I do, their forward players were better than ours.
“I thought we were the better team in the middle of the pitch. How many times have I said this - we didn't take our chances and we didn't look ruthless enough.
“We didn't get our shots off or go down and get a foul. I think you know what I mean by that. Reevesy [Ben Reeves] has tried to stay on his feet for their third goal, if he goes down then he gets it.
“Tariqe comes inside, gets pushed and tries to stay on his feet. But listen, the most important thing is we didn't take our chances. That’s it. That’s the whole crux of the game.
“We had a chance just after their second goal when Naby Sarr had a clear header from four yards out, if that goes in it’s 2-2 and it’s game on. We’re rueing missed opportunities.
“I don't recall Ben Amos having to make many saves. We had way more shots, we had clear-cut chances. I watch Marriott a lot and he’s a top striker on 27 goals this season - put that in our team and we’ll be in the top two. That’s the difference. It’s the way it is.”
