Charlton boss Karl Robinson has hit out at Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston following today’s postponement.
Referee Carl Boyeson conducted two pitch inspections and deemed the Bloomfield Road surface unplayable.
And it’s been claimed that Oyston said Charlton, who were looking for a fourth successive win, wanted the game postponed.
Robinson said: “We’re fuming. I’ve just heard some stupid reports by certain idiots that we didn't want this game on. We asked to play at 4pm, 5pm and tomorrow at 1pm.
“So if their chairman wants to say that we didn't want to play then me and him need to have a conversation because we were ready to play and I’m not having that [said] about my players.
“Blackpool were ready to play. The referee made a decision for the safety of the players. You saw my reaction once I was told it was off. We’re both not happy.
“We’re in great form and came here full of expectation and hope. Unfortunately we've not been able to play. It’s disappointing. We’ll come back here and go again and do our best.”
