Karl Robinson says Charlton have contacted clubs about signing strikers in January.
The Valley boss knows his side are short in the number nine department, with Josh Magennis being the Addicks' only senior forward on a permanent deal.
Charlton have strikers Igor Vetokele and Nicky Ajose on loan at Sint Truiden and Bury, respectively, and Robinson is unsure whether the club can call them back before the end of the season.
He told News Shopper: “There’s always going to be an option [to recall them] but my immediate focus is on the games between now and then.
“We’re assessing striker options for January and we’re starting to speak to one or two clubs and trying to see if we have an opportunity to bring other strikers in.
“I think in most contracts, when you own the player, you have the right to recall him if you need to.
“But I don't want to say something if it’s not 100 per cent true. I don't really get involved in the contractual things.”
