Crystal Palace are keen on signing Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer.
Wimmer, 24, is out of favour with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and wants regular first-team football.
He is behind Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld in the pecking order at Tottenham.
Wimmer joined Spurs in 2015, but has failed to establish himself as a consistent starter, making just 10 appearances last season.
Palace can offer the Austria international first-team football, with boss Frank de Boer seeking defensive reinforcements after their 3-0 defeat to Huddersfield on Saturday.
But they face competition from Premier League duo Stoke and West Ham.
Speaking about his future, Wimmer said: “I’d rather play in central defence.
“The interest from Southampton was not really concrete. I would like to stay in Premier League, because there are other possibilities.”
