Cameron Stewart has left Charlton - but Karl Robinson isn't ruling out a future deal for the winger.
Stewart, 26, was on trial with the Addicks this summer, and impressed in most of his games.
The former Manchester United trainee has been without a club since leaving Ipswich last summer.
Addicks chief Robinson told News Shopper: “We’ve had a conversation, I’ve still not made a decision 100 per cent - he knows the predicament that I’m in with one or two things.
“He knows that there have been other things that we’ve been speaking about as a club.
“What I didn't want to do was keep him here, and I said he could go and train somewhere and see if there are other avenues.
“If I decide to give him a call then great, but if not then he’ll already be down the line with someone else.
“It’s not a no but it’s a case of going to see what else is out there and we can have a conversation next week.”

Charlton need to sign another winger after Mark Marshall suffered a serious knee injury in their 2-1 win over Stevenage last week.
And Robinson is keen to bring in two new faces before their League One opener with Bristol Rovers next Saturday.
Robinson was speaking after Charlton’s emphatic 6-1 win over Ipswich. Goals from Patrick Bauer, Tariqe Fosu, Josh Magennis and Ricky Holmes ensured the Addicks will go into the new season with momentum.
He added: “We still want to bring in two players before next saturday and we’ll try to see what happens.
“I was pleased with our mentality against Ipswich. I thought the first-half replicated what we did against Stevenage but we took our chances. The result is meaningless but it’s a confidence boost.”
